There’s just a few Actors who I actually follow on My Personal Twitter Account, and one of them is Leonard Nimoy… I’ve always been a Huge Fan of his, and frankly, I just think he’s Great.
Well Today He Tweeted a Poem that meant a lot to him, or as he put it…
These words, (Invictus), by William Ernest Henley, carried me thru dark days in my youth. LLAP
LLAP = Live Long And Prosper, which he puts on the end of a lot of his Tweets
He Also Tweeted The Words From William Ernest Henley “Invictus”, which I had never read…
But I really Liked it, and Thought I’d Share it with you guys/gals
Here it is
INVICTUS
by William Ernest Henley
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
