This is another story that I had written for DarkJade’s One Knight blog. It has a lot of meaning for me. I try to follow a certain set of rules in living my life that were passed down to me by my Father. One of my favorite rules is the importance of learning to open yourself up, and reach out to those around you. This may be one of the hardest things any of us ever do, but it is always worth the effort.

I would like to share a special story with you about a remarkable woman. It is a story of hope and second chances. It is a story of a woman named, Sarah, and is based on the life of a real person. Through life’s circumstances she was hurting, broken inside, afraid, and very alone. Her story reminds us that it is possible to change, to overcome adversity, to move out of the darkness into the light, and to make not only our own life better, but the lives of others as well. Sometimes all it takes is the courage to reach out to those around us. Some of you may even see a little of yourself in Sarah. I hope you enjoy the story.

Cherish every day

by Devina

I’m going to let myself go here and at times this might pass for a rant but a rant that really has a purpose to fulfill;  to convince suicidal morons to wake up from the destructive haze they walk through and the people who think they’ve got it worse than everyone else.

Right now I feel as if a ton of bricks just fell on top of me, and one got logged in my stomach making it harder to wade through the rest of the day. I’m a fairly religious person and couldn’t help but ask Him that why did so much life, beautiful life that had so much potential and dreams, so much to live for, had to leave this earth and at such ripe ages.

An Open Letter – You Are Not Alone

by Patrick Dykie

I wrote a post about a year ago after learning of a young woman who had taken her own life. I would like to share it with you today. I believe that all of us are special. We all have are weaknesses, but we all have our gifts and talents which make us unique. We all have a place in this world. All of us bring meaning and purpose to not only our own lives, but those around us. Every life is precious. The loss of one of us is a loss for all of us. I think that if some people knew that they were not alone and how much they were needed, that maybe, just maybe some of these precious lives would still be with us.
